Do I have to have code or programing knowledge in order to use MPO websites?
No code or programing knowledge is required... in fact, the management console provided is so easy to use, that some of our clients start using the system just by following the directions of the "How to Guide" online reference. Also, phone training is included at any time you need tech support assistance.
Do I need any special software?
No software is required. MPO is part of the new Internet 2.0 technology, where all application that you use are web based. This means that you can do business from any computer where internet access is available.
Do my clients need any special software?
No. Your clients will be able to view and order photos without the need of any special software.
If I have an existing website, can I also have an MPO site?
Yes, you can use MPO as seamless extension to your website. This why we offer FREE custom design, this way we can match the look of your main website, so your clients never see the transition to these new pages and/or proofing online. Links back to your main site are also provided, so visitors can navigate back and forth from the main website to MPO' site.
Where is the website hosted? Do I have to pay extra?
MPO's websites are set-up using our MPO fast and reliable servers... MPO takes care of all system administration and tech support, and there's never extra charge for set-up and activation. You only pay for your monthly disk space and nothing more.
Is there a limit on how many portfolios, pages or slide shows I can build?
No. You can create as many portfolios, slide shows, or info/blog pages you want at no extra cost.
What's the difference between the monthly plans?
The difference is in the disk space capacity for the proofing online photos. For instance for $29.95/month you can have a disk space for up to 2,000 photos, while for $69.95 you can have a disk space for up to 20,000 photos (see more under pricing). This disk space is self manageable, this means that if you have the 2,000 disk space plan, you can upload as many times as you want and at the same time delete as many times you want, as long that the total at any given time does not exceed 2,000 photos. You manage your own disk space.
My business is seasonal, can I change my plan as needed?
Yes, you can upgrade your plan as needed (two months minimum in one given plan before you can downgrade). Then you can also downgrade your plan for the slower months.
Can I use MPO for the slide shows, portfolios etc. but not for proofing online?
Yes, you can have a standard no proofing online option, however, the minimum hosting is $29.95/mopnth.
I already have a domain name... can I make it work with my new MPO website?
Yes, after the website is activated you will be given instructions on how to set-up you domain name in order to be linked to your new MPO website. Tech support is always available to help you with your domain name management.
I do not have a domain name, can you help me with one and set it up for me?
Yes. At MPO we also have our own domain name management division, where we can advice and/or register the domain name of your choice. A $24.95 registration fee per year applies, and it includes all domain name management and set-up so you never have to worry about the technical issues.
Are there any hidden charges? Is this truly free set-up and design?

Where do orders go to?
All orders go directly to you via email. You are in control of all your clients and all your orders.
Who prints the photos from the orders? Do I have to use your Photo Lab?
Use your favorite photo lab or try our professional photo printing services. It's up to you to decide... after you receive your order you can choose to keep on using the lab of your choice, or submit the files to MPO Photo Lab to be printed. The choice is yours.
Are there any commissions involved?
No commissions, just the disk space monthly fee from the plan you select.
Is MPO a secure way to accept credit card payments?
Yes, Our shopping cart system provides secure pages using SSL encryption that complies with current e-commerce standards. Also, your management console is password protected for your privacy and security.
How are payments accepted? Can you set me up with a merchant account?
Our default shopping cart assumes that you have the ability to run credit card payment using an existing merchant account. Also, your clients can choose to be contact for payment information or to pay using PayPal (PayPal integration is scheduled to be launched in September/06). In the event that you do not currently accept credit cards, we can provide you with a merchant account of your own, good not only for website transactions but also for your studio sales in general... an online terminal allows you to run manual transactions without the need of credit card machines, thus saving you money by not having to buy or rent extra equipment. Why do I need a credit card to sign up?
For your monthly recurring billing we only accept credit card payments. this is why at time of sign-up you must submit a credit card in order for our billing department to verify your ability to pay after 30 days. Billing starts after 30 days, if you cancel within the 30 day trail period, automatically all recurring billing is cancelled and void, and absolutely no charges will appear on you credit card. Also, having your credit card on file, helps you to order more conveniently all of our wholesale albums directly from your management console.
What other benefits am I entitled to?
Your MPO website comes with an elite Wholesale Account for all album and photo product purchases. You will be able to order factory direct flush mount albums, proof boxes, folios, etc. use our Photo Lab services, plus you will be entitled to special pricing of 20% off and free shipping.
